Web3 the next stage of the Internet
With the breakthroughs in underlying technologies and the continuous upgrading of user needs, the model of the Internet is also evolving. From the original Web network can not meet the ordinary people for information exchange and sharing of the predicament, we ushered in the "readable" Web1 era, with the introduction of the World Wide Web, a variety of search engines and portals to bring information into the network on a large scale, so that ordinary users can easily access all kinds of resources. In order to solve the problem of users not being able to take the initiative to create content and lacking the right to speak on the Internet in the Web1 era, we have entered the Web2 era of "readable+writable". With the popularization of smartphones, the emergence of social networks, and the development of cloud computing, all users can share their ideas and interact with others in social media, making the Internet voice from the commercial giants to the business giants. This has shifted the discourse of the Internet from commercial giants to each end user. Today, after the Web1 and Web2 eras, the Internet is ushering in a Web3 revolution.
Web3 is described as a user-owned and controlled Internet. Gavin Wood, co-founder of Ethernet, first introduced the concept of Web3 as a set of compatible protocols that guarantee people's ability to act in a low-barrier marketplace, and as a basis for individual freedom against violent authority. Other researchers have also defined Web3 as an Internet that is “readable + writable + owned”, and one in which users can have property rights. Currently, definitions of Web3 are haphazard, but all point to the same keywords: user ownership and control.
